Restorative Nursing Services Under PDPM Workshop

Thursday, February 21, 2019
    9:30 am – 3:30 pm | Orlando, FL

A Restorative Nursing Program is Vital under PDPM!

Under the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM), restorative nursing services will become a vital component in determining reimbursement and will now be reimbursed in its own category separate from therapy RUGS. PDPM allows for nursing home residents who are more clinically complex or who have other indicators of acuity, including a higher ADL score, depression, or restorative nursing services, facilities will receive a higher payment.

This workshop will help you understand the importance of conducting a thorough assessment of each resident upon admission and identifying their clinical indicators for restorative on the MDS. You will learn which specific activities of daily living have been approved as a part of the restorative nursing program under PDPM and how to capture complete documentation of the need for restorative nursing. ICD-10 coding and its impact under PDPM will be reviewed. Changes to the PPS Assessment, which go into effect with PDPM, will be shared as well as a discussion on the assessment process. By attending this workshop, your team will be better prepared for the PDPM implementation.
