RoP Facility Assessment Requirements

 

This session will focus on a comprehensive review of the Phase 2 Requirements of Participation (RoP) related to the annual facility assessment. The content focuses on helping nursing facility staff understand the new regulations and interpretive guidance related to the facility assessment. Strategies for completing and analyzing information from the facility assessment to ensure adequate resources are provided to meet the needs of the population will be discussed.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the new regulations related to the facility assessment and the key actions required to achieve compliance
  • Describe a process for establishing priority actions to achieve compliance with the facility assessment
  • Understand how to use the facility assessment to ensure resources are deployed effectively to meet the needs of the population served


Target Audience:  Administrators, Directors of Nursing and other Department leaders.

Speaker Information:

Shelly Maffia, MSN, MBA, RN, LNHA, QCP - Clinical Consultant for Proactive Medical Review & Consulting, LLC

Director of Regulatory Services for Proactive Medical Review & Consulting, with over 15 years of leadership and consulting experience, Shelly has held positions as DON, NHA, Corporate Nurse Consultant, and Training Positions. Currently Shelly provides consultation on regulatory compliance to nursing facilities in multiple states. Her expertise includes developing clinical training tools, policies, procedures, protocols and training programs on systems, processes and best practices. Shelly is also a QAPI Certified Professional (QCP) through the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators.

Contact Hours: Up to 1.25 contact hours of credit for Nursing Home Administrators, Nurses and Social Workers.
 

Registration: This webinar is offered at a rate of $80 per LeadingAge Florida member community and $120 per prospective member community. Register your community and invite as many of your employees to participate as you wish. The fees apply to each phone line that connects to the webinar.

Cancellations: All cancellations must be in writing. A $25 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations. No refunds for cancellations will be made after November 1, 2017.
